Educational Goal with Substance and Breath.

About five years ago, I finished high school in my hometown Tashkent, Uzbekistan and was ready to start my tennis career. I am a tennis player and have been playing tennis since I was ten years old.  I had a dream to be a professional tennis player till eighteen years old. After I finished playing junior international tournament and lost all my sponsors, I decided to study and started to think how tennis can help me with it. I still wanted to keep playing and participate in the tournaments; I didn’t want to lose these feelings that were making me happy all my life. So I was invited to study and play tennis for the college in the United States of America, and after that I knew which path I should follow. I got accepted to Lander University. It wasn’t the only one offer from the coaches, but I decided to go to Lander, I guess it was a God’s sign for me to go to that school. I completed a semester in Lander, and then it was a time for me to leave because of finance and few other things. I went back home and start looking for another school where I can get my degree and good tennis scholarship. My coach and my friends were able to help me with it. After much talking to different coaches, I made my decision to go to North Greenville University and study Print Media.

One day, I was talking to my adviser and he asked me what I want to do when I will be done with school? My answer was, “I do not know!” After the long conversation I decided to do graphic and photography. I had friends who were doing photography by that time and I heard a lot about it. Since my sophomore year, I joined the school newspaper, The Skyliner, as a photographer. I was doing photography, but more focusing on sports pictures.

I am a senior now, did my internship this summer at the summer camp in NYC, doing photography and designing website. After my internship I felt that my skills and knowledge of what I am doing, have become way better. I would like use my skills in photography and graphics design by working for a company, magazine, TV, newspaper or even to report the tennis news or design clothes, that what I am passion about. I have couple friends in Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ, who is going to help me in this process. I want to have great contacts to find a good job that can build my future life and put me in the right track.
